The trails are beautiful, incredibly so. Yes, on that trail, your boots get muddy, you are drenched in pouring rain, and you are horrified by the million bug bites on your legs. But it is the wonders of nature that is everlasting in your memory. It should never be disturbed. So next time you run through that trail, you make an effort to walk on the path instead of stepping on the plants nearby, you admire the wild flowers and wild animals but leave them undisturbed, and like so many hikers before you, you do your best not to leave your human imprints behind. Stop and think about that for a second - and always make sure to leave the trail just like you found it, even if it is just so you can have the satisfaction of seeing a friend walk in with muddy boots and a few lumps on his or her arms and legs.
